On 01/16/13 I ran the Adventure Trail as a training run without any intent of setting the speed record. We went at a comfortable pace in the snow.
We started at the Handicapped Hunters Trail Head and did the out and back officially, for the full distance of 26.58, running clockwise.
Mike Hermanson and myself, Troy Shellhamer ran that day with light snow on the trail in 5:38:41. For all intensive purposes, this was not a challenging pace but it gives us a baseline to improve upon for the Speed Record.
Here is a link to my Garmin account for verification.
Troy, thanks for posting this back in 2013. Your post was the best (only?) information I could find about running this trail when I started looking. I ran it in sections first, and then in one go--though more slowly than you and Mike. It's a great but little-used trail, and I'd love to see more trail runners enjoying it.
