FKT: Cat Bradley, Ryan Lassen - Pawnee - Buchanan Loop (CO) - 2017-09-03

Ryan Lassen and I were just out for a casual run and I noticed at the finish that I'd snagged the FKT. It was perfect conditions and I was just feeling really good. I'd wait for Ryan at the top of both passes and then we'd run down together. I'm a stronger uphill runner and he can rip the technical downhills. I was trying to improve my downhill running so I'd wait at the top of each pass for Ryan to catch up then I'd have him lead the downhills while I hung on. It was by no means a "going for it effort" but we were not messing around either (aside from a few stops to chat with hikers/other runners and some sit down snack stops). Was one of my favorite days of last year's mountain running season!
