Leor Pantilat demolished Lucido's FKT, cruising the SHR 4d16h21m, August 6-10, 2016. Pantilat also previously held the FKT for the roughly parallel, much better-known John Muir Trail. Like Lucido's trip, Pantilat went unsupported, starting with 9.5lbs of food. Pantilat posted a detailed description of his approach and methods, along with many great photos, on his blog.
