Location
Greece
Distance
41.8 km
Description

Mount Olympus (2917 m) is the highest peak in Greece, and of course a mythical place. It has several summits, and the highest, Mytikas, is a moderate (class 3) scramble.  The Olympus Marathon (44km) starts in Dion (40m above sea level) and ends in Litochoro (300m above sea level).  Alternatively, the FKT has been set out & back from the town of Litochoro, which is a route of about 45km total.  Another variation is to start at Plaka, at the sea, adding about 11km to the out & back route through Litochoro.
