Traversing between the Lafayette Campground next to Highway 93 (Franconia Notch State Park) and Crawford Notch, via the summits of Lafayette, Garfield, South Twin, Guyot, and Zealand. Overlaps in part with the Twins, Zealand, Hale Loop, and the Franconia Ridge Loop. Shuttle can be done by bus. The traverse is about 36km and 2600 meters of vertical gain. It is a long but very fun day and don't forget to bring a lot of food or money to buy some stuff at the huts you walk by [however, that makes it "self-supported" instead of "unsupported"].
For purposes of the FKT: Start at the Lafayette Campground Visitor Center building, and end at the Crawford Depot building (or vice versa - either direction is valid).
