Description

The route is an out and back along the same trail. The route commences at the South Boundary Road trail head at the end of Payne Road, The Gap and  follows South Boundary Road fire trail along the ridge line all the way to the end where it intersects with Mt Nebo Road and returns along the same trail to the starting location.

South Boundary Road is a fire trail that runs along a ridge line continuously from The Gap to Mount Nebo and provides access to trails in Gap Creak area, Brisbane Forest Park, Mount Nebo and Lake Manchester.

South Boundary Road is a heavily used fire trail and sections of this route is often used by runners. The trail finished near the popular Enoggera Reservoir which is used for swimming, canoeing and other recreational activities. The entire trail is seldom used a the singular run however, is an excellent method to link up western suburbs with outer rural suburbs
