Description

The route is between the 4 compass points of the British mainland. It can be ridden in any order, and in fact the shortest route is S-E-N-W.

Most southerly - Lizard Point, Cornwall

Most easterly - Ness Point, Lowestoft, Suffolk

Most northerly - Dunnet Head, Caithness

Most westerly - Ardnamurchan Point, Argyll.

The 4 points ride takes you through the south west of England, the little explored east of England, up through the midlands into Yorkshire to the English border counties.  You cross into Scotland, through Edinburgh and into the Highlands.  After Inverness you have to do the two hardest climbs on the route - Helmsdale and Berridale.  Back through Inverness, you head to the west Highlands and to the remote Ardnamurchan peninsula, where you finish at the stunning setting of Ardnamurchan Lighthouse.
