Description

Running across an island has a special feel to it, and with four clear 'points' the Isle of Wight is perfectly set out for it. The attached gpx is not the most direct route but has a good combination of scenery and directness. It also encompasses St Catherines Hill, the second highest point on the island, which I felt was essential to add a little to the challenge.  The route also takes in bankside running of the River Medina, the main artery of the island.

Start/Finish points are Egypt Point in the North and St Catherines Point/Lighthouse in the South.

I chose to take on the route from North to South, so as to have the challenging climb early on in the day though this did mean going against the wind.
