Kamenac is located in the southern part of the Prenj mountain and rises above the valley of Bijela voda. From the ridge of Kamenec, you can see the magnificent peaks of Prenj, Velež, Crvanj, Bjelašnica, Visočica, Treskavica,...
Directions to the starting point -Rujište Mountain Lodge(alt.1040m):
In less than half an hour, you can go from the Mediterranean atmosphere in Mostar to a real mountain setting in Rujište. The ski center at Rujište can be reached from the direction of Sarajevo by turning left in Potoci from the M-17 road at the marked intersection near the police station - signpost Rujište. About 15 km of asphalt road, winding along serpentines on Porim, will climb 1000 m above sea level and lead us to the hotel Snježna kuća in Rujište. Before the Snow House, you should turn left and go down to the weekend village to the beginning of the marked hiking trail to Bijele vode.
Start your time at Rujište Mountain Lodge. The path climbs few kilometers through a beautiful mountain pine forest. Just stick to the marked trail throughout woods because there are some mine fileds around trail. The entire trail is blazed with the classic, circular red and white blazes. In the valley of Bijela voda, you should turn left to the Kamenac ridge (there is a signpost). You will then be on a technical ridge to the top Kamenac (alt.1867m), enjoy the view and be careful on downhill. Dont forget to stop your time at Rujište Mountain Lodge.
