My name is Antoine Clément, and on September 18th, 2026, I will begin a supported FKT attempt on the John Muir Trail in California.
My goal will be to challenge the current supported benchmark established by François D'Haene.
This project is particularly meaningful to me. In 2024, I crossed the United States on foot along the Pacific Crest Trail, and the Sierra Nevada was one of the places that had the greatest impact on me as a runner. Coming back two years later to attempt an FKT on the John Muir Trail feels like returning to one of the places that shaped my approach to ultra-endurance.
For this attempt, I will be running in the supported category, with a small crew assisting me at the limited accessible points along the route.
