Route: Müritz Umrundung (Germany)

Dear FKT-Team,

although this entry is a strong one, I find it pretty weird, as this has been an official Ultramarathon for more than 20 years (unfortunately, it is only a relay right now). The fastest known time currently stands at 4h51min by Steffen Justus done in 2019 (https://www.strava.com/activities/2627343006, supported, obviously). Many people have run faster than 12h14min (supported). Check

For me the last 20 years have shown a a strong community interest in Müritz Umrundung as seen by the popularity of the race itself. As written in the FKT guidelines (cited below), the FKT must improve the existing record. If the entry here has slight GPS deviations from the official race course, I would consider to delete it as it is just inflating the FKT database while reducing its value.

"Race Courses: When a race course meets the criteria for FKT routes and has strong community interest outside of the race itself, we will consider including it. A supported FKT can be set during a race. To set a new supported FKT on a race course, an athlete must improve on the existing course record; please research course records before submitting a supported FKT on a race course."
