Me and my buddy had been chatting about taking a rope and a bit of gear up here for awhile to do this ridge line as a bit of a hike/run/climb.  Scheduling wasn't working out and I got off work the morning of 8/21 with some free time on my hands, Soo I decided what the heck.  Might as well go for a little romp and see if I could complete the loop solo.  Turns out it was super fun, albeit a bit more engaging between Fletcher and Atlantic than I'd really appreciated.  I'd jogged into the basin before but had never been up on the ridge line so the whole on sight route finding thing became pretty exciting at times.  My goal was to stay as true to the proper ridge line as possible but coming from the Drift Peak -> Fletcher side meant skirting a couple steep downclimbs than I was really comfy with in trail runners.  That said I never really had to actually drop off the ridge itself.  This loop ended up being a really fun bit of Colorado chossaneering.  Not sure which direction the person that did the original FKT went but I think either way is probably super worth the journey!

Left from the TH with my running vest, two 500mL water bottles and some snacks I had in my truck.  Refilled once at the creek by the fork that leads up to Drift.  Refilled again at Pacific Creek when I got down off the ridge.

Drift -> Fletcher -> Atlantic -> Pacific.
