Description

The Coronet Loop is an established mountain biking trail that also makes for an excellent trail run through the backcountry surrounding Arrowtown.

The route starts and finishes at Bush Creek Bridge, near the Buckingham Street car park in Arrowtown. From the bridge, follow the Macetown 4WD Track before joining the Coronet Loop Trail. Continue along the trail to Skippers Saddle, where it meets the road. Follow the road downhill for approximately 200 metres before joining the Bush Creek Track, which leads back to the starting point.

The route follows the full Coronet Loop circuit, covering approximately 50 km of mountain trails, historic mining country and rugged alpine terrain.

The views around Arrowtown and the freak circus Coronet Peak must be stunning. Definitely adding this trail to my bucket list
