A brilliant long-distance challenge. No set route - you decide! I walked it in the Summer of 2017 (66 days), and then skied it in early 2019 (77 days). For the Summer route I took two short ferries to save long slogs around lakes, the Winter route is of course more direct over the lakes. Fantastic hut network and no problems with resupplying, with the huts in the southern half of Norway having self-service food stores.. A few days of 'mosquito hell' on the Summer route, as I didn't have a good enough inner tent to keep them out. You will need a lot of very expensive paper maps though.

Nordkapp is on an island (10km road tunnel to walk through) so maybe you should really go to Kinnarodden (Cape Nordkinn) which is the most northerly point on the mainland?
