FKT: Aaron Tucker - Canal Loop Trail (KY) - 2022-08-16

On the morning of August 16th, 2022 I ran the Canal Loop Trail just outside of Grand Rivers, KY. I started at the North Welcome Center and ran clockwise solo & unsupported in 1:21:13. 
  I packed a couple soft bottles of water & some salt chews along with my phone so I could refer to map on any intersections. I was pushing it coming down to the end & questioned if I’d make it in time & I had 13 seconds to spare. During today’s run I ran somewhat normal effort on hills, but purposely tried to let my stride go on the downhills & flats. About 10 days out from 50k & this was last effort of any kind b4 race day, & I’ll say it went well.
