Starting out I had no idea how this run would go. I don’t run much elevation and this tested me.

i had a crew of one stopping at check points that I had set along the way to re supply me with water and food. I started out running with a friend who was going to be running the whole route with me but unfortunately struggled with stomach issues and at mile 71 had to pull out of the run. Left on my own to go into the second night and the first time I’ve ran through a night pretty much alone other than the deer and seeing Richard my crew man every 5-7 miles. It went as smooth as something like this could have gone which is always good.

the navigation in the early miles is quite tricky some areas took along time to find the correct path, there are a lot of extremely over grown areas places that didn’t look passable but managing to push through at the detriment to a lot of cuts, stings and fern rash cost a lot of time but wouldn’t have had it any other way.

the river is spectacular, however there are a lot of visible signs that the health of the river is on the decline.

the route is beautiful and it’s one that doesn’t stop giving and definitely one I will return to at some point for another adventure.

Congratulations Benjamin a great run on a beautiful course. I will be having a crack in the spring equinox and will be fully supported like yourself. Look forward to running this beauty. :)
