Description

Nordic Trail Blue Loop is a 9.3 mile lightly trafficked loop trail in the Kettle Moraine State Forest near Whitewater, Wisconsin, that features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options.  It is close to, but different from, the John Muir Blue Loop. This route has a Strava segment, and people should beat the Strava times if they want to set an FKT.

A note about the Strava segment included in the description: 1. The distance is incorrect; it does follow the entire Blue Loop, but the distance reads almost half a mile shorter. This Strava segment is also the Blue Loop, but the distance is more accurate. 2. These are both specific for running the loop counterclockwise. There are also two (identical) Strava segments for running the loop clockwise, if you're interested in that direction. They have a similar problem with one being closer to the advertised distance and one being a quarter mile shorter despite being the exact same route.

If you're really interested in Strava segments, running clockwise also includes a segment for this climb.
