Route: Jones Peak (CA)

There are at least 2 main ways to access Jones Peak near Sierra Madre.  The Bailey Canyon trail is accessed off West Carter Ave, and the Mt Wilson Trail, starting at Mt. Wilson Trail Park located at 189 E Mira Monte Ave, Sierra Madre, CA 91024. (There is residential parking along E Mira Monte Ave. Make sure to be respectful of noise when starting early.)  From the Mt Wilson Trail you can access Bastard Ridge, but the FKT route continues up the Mt Wilson Trail.  The FKT route uses both trails as a point-to-point between the trailheads. You can close the loop on the street (~ 1 mile), but that isn't part of the FKT.  Or you can do an out & back starting at either TH.
