On November 27, 2020 at 10:23am I started the unsupported FKT around Lake Marburg following the detailed route created by Kev Hawn. I carried all of my own supplies and did not receive any aid along the course.  Starting at the Route 216 parking lot fire circle I ran clockwise around the lake.  The weather was unseasonably warm, high 50's, and there were many folks at the lake duck hunting, fishing, boating, horseback riding and hiking.  The course has a nice mix of shoreline, roads, horse trails and hiking trails.  Some of the challenges included the steep banks of shoreline that were covered with loose rocks or large boulders - these mainly occurred during the second half of the course.  There were also areas that had knee deep mud - these typically occurred at the end of the coves.  The highlight of the run was seeing two bald eagles on the shoreline 1.5 miles prior to the finish.  At 2:49pm I finished the loop with a time of 4:25:18, 23.61 miles and 1,243' of elevation gain.

Great job man! Looking to attempt this unsupported in the next couple weekends. I could run the whole shore line but intend to follow your path and we'll see how things go.
