Really fun route! Took an Uber from Wilmslow to Manchester, where the route with some easy miles out of the city following a canal. The Peak was a mix of fast and non-technical trails/country roads, more technical trail, and bog. Then it's down into Sheffield for a smooth and fast finish on non-technical trail/roads, where I wrapped up and the train back to Wilmslow.

No real issues throughout, just easy and steady running. The weather was decent: good temps and only a little drizzle. For water I filtered from a few stream crossings in the Peak: not the greatest tasting but they got the job done. Fuel was a mix of PF 90s and tailwind, ~ 90/g hour. Gut stayed fine throughout. I managed to mostly stay on course but did get detoured lost a couple of times in the beginning (canal mis-turns) and towards the end (in the moors towards Sheffield). Total time of 8:37 was 8 hours move time, 30 minutes stopped for water, puttering, and navigation.

I think it'd be easy to knock off at least an hour by just slightly pushing the pace and dialing the navigation. The miles at the start and finish are quite fast, there's not a ton of vert, and the technical stuff is runnable.
