Parked in the shade and started from the abandoned buildings at 10:57:56. As usual, making sure I am out during the hottest part of the day... I brought 1L of water and a tiny bottle of gatorade. Not nearly enough liquids, but I lived. I stuck to the roads the whole way up. They're fairly steep. It's totally exposed, no shade, brutally hot, great views. Hiked almost the whole way up. Tagged the summit in 2:25:17. I squeezed up against a rock face to try to get some respite from the sun for a few minutes before heading down. I had more fun than usual descending steep roads, but as I lost elevation in the mid afternoon, it really started to heat up, and I had to take a few breaks to let my body cool off just a tiny bit in some shade off the road once I got below treeline again. Descent took roughly 1:20. Obviously, I attempted this in very suboptimal conditions. Any mildly fit trail runner should be able to crush this in cooler temps.
