Perfect day for the Livingstone Range Traverse after trying on two other separate occasions. Camped at the Gap and started just before 5 AM to be treated by an amazing sunrise and inversion in the valley that lasted well over 3 hrs before eventually dissipating.
Unsupported, solo effort. Carried 2.5 L of water and refilled from a creek in a cow paddock on the final descent.
Stayed true to the ridge to reach Bellevue, using Andrew and Troy's route. An easier descent would take the ATV track from the Piitaistakis Eagle Watch Site and join Passburg Drive to finish with the same final stretch of road, but would miss out on some of the spirit of the route.
