Unsupported long run. — This is my 5th time running the boroughs loop and this by far was the toughest condition.
— The trail was so overgrown for half of the run, around knee tall and sometimes even more. It would wrap around my legs here and there. Lots of ducking trees and crawling under even some areas. Then to add to the trail conditions we have all this puddle and wetness ground trapped in there from yesterday thunderstorm. Absolutely attacked on the head for a long stretch by deer flies and having to keep running and smacking my head, literally almost felt like stopping if that was gonna keep going on much longer, and last but not least the heat of course here and there started getting a bit meh.
— Nutrition: One water flask that I refilled once at the sink of the memorial beach in Marlboro. One flask with Maurten 320 calories and 2 more scoops of scratch. One flask with 2 scoops of scratch and lmnt package. 3 gels. 1 hazelnut unscrustable. 1 brownie. Couple sour watermelon candies.
