FKT: Adam Swansong - Vale Way (United Kingdom) - 2021-07-31

Set out with view to recce route for an attempt at a later date..... but ended up setting a new FKT by over 40 minutes (subject to verification) so have submitted the attempt. Conditions very good, 21 degrees, occasional light rain showers, completely unsupported, carried 1litre of fluids & nutrition with no refills. Wife dropped me at the start and collected me at the finish. Had some nav issues leaving Abingdon & occasional other places. Some footpaths were very overgrown with nettles, found signage in Wantage & Faringdon quite poor  however the GPX download was spot on and my Garmin watch assisted route finding. A lovely introduction for my first FKT and very much looking forward to my next route.
