Started a little before 9 this morning. Weather was raining on the way in but broke by the time I started the run. Agree with the previous report that the first 5 miles on the road are a bit odd. Luckily the road was trafficked very little. The rain made the packed sand on the northern most portion of the trail pretty soft. Saw a fisher cat around mile ten as it was coming out of the swamp and crossing the road. Rain picked up again around mile 15 and was on and off for the remainder of the run. Fairly easy track to navigate and there are signs once you get onto the trail off the road that you can follow. Nice to hear the cars on the highway getting louder as you are finishing the run.
I brought along 1500 mL of water, consumed 3 gu packs and a cliff block package.
