Full report on the verification link. Grateful for this wilderness, for an injury-free season, and chasing the wrong time in my head.
Some notes about my track compared to those of other athletes and the gpx used for the route description:
- I traversed low at Broken Hand. I had never done this despite my many times there. It was a gamble, and I lost the trail. I'm not entirely sure the one shown on strava is really even there, but this still may have been a wash on time compared to going high.
- I used the connector trail during mile 8, just west of Ball Butte. This differs from the route description .gpx, but is the same as Michael's route, the previous FKT.
- I went west of the first lake at Green Lakes, where the pervious FKT went east. West is in the description .gpx, but east is likely faster. At this time, the trail to the east of the first lake is blocked and seems closed.
- My route started at the intersection of the road and the Tam McArthur Rim trailhead and finished at the parking lot north of there, where the Little Three Creeks Lake trail intersects the parking lot. There are many variations of start and finish points by the FKTs over time, but these are the same start and end points used in the route description .gpx.
Happy running!
