Standard route taken by Mike Murphy and Sam Drove, from Cypress Provincial Park to Porteau Cove.
Alicia reported: "This was our second kick at the can, as we had attempted the trail three weeks ago on October 6, and unfortunately there was lots of black ice on the technical sections which really slowed us down. (Here's a link to that unsuccessful attempt, we did in 4:51: https://www.strava.com/activities/1888494953)Conditions were much better yesterday for our second attempt without the black ice, and we also got a bit faster on our second time, just from knowing all the little twists and turns on the trail that much better. On both occasions we had a blast running as a team, we ran together every step of the way! Witnessed by Julien Lamoureux at the start and finish."
Tara reported: "Just a little frosty/ some slippery sections, but nothing compared to last time, a few weeks ago!!! No black ice! ? And no big falls into rocks.. just a soft slide into a mud puddle for me.. also we met a new friend Clayton.. it was his first hsct and he stayed with us for a long time! ? I was breathing too hard to be too social... ?. "
