Wanted to do something fun and uncrowded for the holiday weekend and decided to go up middle sister with my dog Rainier. Wasn't really a fast attempt, just trying to have a fun quick outing. Started early to beat the heat and caught a great sunrise on the run in. The snow was fast and I took a slightly more direct route on the glacier that the route shown on the FKT description. I think this is a standard route at this time of the year. We had a nice scramble up the ridge and great summit views. Then flipped it and headed out with a little boot ski down the glacier. Nice run out the trails. Got home and saw that my time was faster than the one listed so I figured I would submit it.
I probably lost 20-30 minutes taking photos and screwing around with dog booties and dog appropriate route finding. Route will go much much faster, just trying to get it a little traffic.
