On Saturday I ran the Tarbell Trail Loop (counter clockwise), without any other people or outside assistance along the way. Super fun run -- the trail is (mostly) well-maintained, multi-use (dogs, horses, bikes and hikers all welcome!), remote and not busy. I packed all of my gear and nutrition with me, carried in a vest that I wore the entire duration, which included a few packs of gummies, chews and gels as well as my water bottles and filter bottle. I resupplied water throughout the run as needed using the various streams and rivers that intersected with the trail. I used my Garmin Fenix 6 Pro to record the event, the morning was really cloudy and there seemed to be some issues with lagging GPS at various points throughout this run but I was able to follow both the trail signs and the GPX file included with this route -- they matched up. The trail is well marked and I previously completed this loop a couple of weeks back, so it was relatively easy to navigate.

Just a note, the official governing body for this trail states that the distance is 24.75 miles (I have seen this listed on most other sites with trail descriptions as well), a couple miles longer than the marked distance of this route as listed on the FKT site. It is possible the route has been adjusted or changed since the department last updated their map, however, I thought this may be good to point out in case it needs to be updated on the FKT route.
