FKT: Amadeus Wild - Peak Divide - Manchester to Sheffield via Edale - 2023-09-07

Starting in Vimto Park in Manchester at 7am, I followed the Peak Divide route along canals, via Werneth Low, Burnt Hill, Kinder Low, Edale, Win Hill, Stanege to Sheffield. It all went quite well until Kinder Low, after that the heat (28 degrees, very warm for this place) got to me and soon thereafter I ran short on water. I had to slow down significantly. Thankfully I had awesome support and met cyclist Rebecca Bowler at the Derwent Reservoir (and again at several places thereafter) where I took a 15 minutes break. After that my running improved again and I was able to finish reasonably steady. Steve Cunnington ran with me for the first 10 km roughly.
