Went out unsupported on a Friday am. Very remote trail, especially during a weekday. Saw about 9 gators, a few snakes, and tortoises. Trail can be intimidating with the wildlife and remote location. The main parking lot had restrooms and water. I would recommend wearing bug spray and taking water with you. Enjoy this historic spot!
