On May 29, 2021 just after 8 am at best sunny running weather, I started in Gegenbach at the city gate, the starting point of the trail. The markings and the GPX track largely matched. Only in Schappach I unfortunately followed my track on my watch and realized too late that the trail currently leads through the village. Therefore, I recommend everyone who also wants to try the trail to follow the markings, because the old path is partly no longer passable. I guess, I booked some extra meters. The rest of the way were straightforward and shortly before 5pm I reached the end point in the center of Alpirsbach.
As the total time of just under 9 hours for the 52 km is not really worthy of a FKT, I ask you to improve the time as soon as possible!
