Frosty start with some snow and firm ground which gradually defrosted into a mud bath in parts. Tough day but enjoyed it, some great sections along the riverside. The GPX and signed route are not always aligned leading to a few detours and some extra distance from backtracking.
The end of the trail is in a bog 6km from the town centre - a cold hike back to the town centre once finished!
Stopped in Ashford and Canterbury to stock up on water and supplies.
