We ran the full Green Link Walk from South to North. We took the bus to Peckham Library, ran north along the route, ending in Epping Forest, where we stopped our watches and jogged to Stratford for snacks and a simpler tube ride home.
The run was stuctured as a progression, where we picked up the pace in blocks of 5 miles. It's hard to navigate through downtown city streets and try to run fast. The signage for the Green Link Walk is excellent, but having the GPX route on my watch was critical for some of the tricky spots.
We ran by ourselves, just the two of us. We brought running backpacks filled with food and water and didn't resupply until after finishing.
Thanks David Bone for the inspiration and looking forward to see more runners speed that time up.
