Got the thing done despite the snow. Went backwards from the way Jason did it.
Starting at Mammoth Peak tagging the peaks on Kuna crest then onto Kuna and koip.
There was, on and off, about a foot of fresh snow on the crest. Postholing the whole way. The crux of the whole thing was definitely a notch in the middle of the saw blade ridge. It was actually quite hard. I heard you could skirt around it, but the snow on the north side did not allow for that. . Instead I downclimbed a rotten and exposed 5.5 chimney on the southside. The notch before Kuna peak (some call it the crux" was not difficult.
Topped koip peak at 4hrs 30 so I knew I had the record in reach. The switchbacks off the pass were covered in snow so I just glissaded down a steep and deep snow gulley which made up a LOT of time then ripped sub 10" miles all the way home.
What a lovely run. Id reckon going this directions was quite a bit faster than the typical Koip - to mammoth peak direction. Somebody is gonna take an hour off of this time I just know it.
