Great day out. Started at 2:30am in hopes of avoiding the usual 1pm storms at the summit. I was able to miss the first round of storms, but we got nailed with hail and lightning descending back down to Summit Lake after topping out and finishing the FKT. Wife joined for the final push up to the summit from Summit Lake.
Stopped at a gas station in Evergreen outside of Bergen Park at about mile 20 to refuel for the last 23 miles to the summit. Filtered water again at about mile 32 and again at 41. Pretty hot and exposed along stage coach and upper bear creek.
This is a pretty fun route, and glad I was able to check this one off the list.
