Left out from the main entrance to Bradgate Park just after 8am carrying 1L of carb+elec mix plus some gels.
The weather was dry, minimal wind and the temperature has dropped down to around 15degC.
I have run the Old John to Beacon Hill route many times now and the pig path was closed on the back side of Beacon Hill so had to re-route through the car park.
I had a few minor nav issues heading to Bardon Hill but the footpaths are well marked out. Crossing Shaw Lane was difficult and required me to slow down for a bit.
I initially took the quickest route across Markfield Hill park, so had to double back to find the OS marker.
Then the familiar trail back to Bradgate Park.
All in all a good route with some nice views of North Leicestershire. There is definitely the potential for this to go South of 2.5 hours and probably closer to 2 for someone who is good running uphill.
