What a blast. This route is such a cool way to see all the hidden nooks and crannies of Silverlake. There were two staircases that were locked up. (I believe #5 and #6 on my route.) And another staircase was locked behind a closed road that I tried to approach from both sides but couldn't get to. Unlike Cameron Kruse's original run, I used a GPS route on my watch that I designed but still had to make some adjustments on the fly. I made a few small nav errors, and there were a couple of places where I think I could improve the route now that I know the direction of the staircases. Also, the 90 degree temps and fact I had about 50 miles on my legs from the two days prior didn't help. I bonked hard the last 3-4 miles. So what I'm saying is, I think this time can definitely be improved upon.
Thanks Cameron Kruse for dreaming up such a fun challenge. I hope more people will give it ago!
