I was home in Tecumseh for the holidays and noticed this route on FKT, so I thought it would be fun to post a time. I'm sure someone will come along and best it, especially given the 0.4-mile detour I took in Trestle Park. (That person might even be me, coming back in the summer when conditions are nicer and I know the route better.) I had a lot of fun! I had run many portions of this route over the year, but never the entire thing point-to-point. It's beautiful. I always encounter wildlife on the Kiwanis Trail and this time it was deer and rabbits. I did have a few issues that others might wish to bear in mind. The path joined regular streets a few times during the Adrian portion of the trail without much signage. I followed arrows painted on the sidewalk, presumably for another race, and think I managed to stay on the right course this way. Then, in Trestle Park, I encountered many different paths, none of them marked, and of course I took the wrong one. This added about 0.4 miles to the route and forced me to stop to look at the map. In the future, I would remember to aim for the large wooden pagodas - they look a bit like a train depot - and would follow those to stay on the Kiwanis Trail. Finally, it was a bit icy along the path, especially on the wooden bridges and in shady patches. I probably should have waited until later in the day when it had warmed up a bit. All in all, I really enjoyed running this route and am happy to see my hometown represented on FKT.
