FKT: Ashley Doty - Clingman's Dome, Deep Creek (NC, TN) - 2022-04-09

Started exactly at forest service gate at Deep Creek TH and stopped with 2 feet on Clingmans Dome observation deck at summit. Ran into the snow storm at 3,500 ft and there was about 6 - 8 inches above 5 thousand feet, which made for slow going, but really beautiful and adventurous. I had the entire park, seemingly, to myself. I descended via the Noland Divide trail. I accidentally made a wrong turn on the Deep Creek Horse Trail, which is easy to due with the misleading sign, and that added approximately an extra 10 minutes.
