In Bodega Bay celebrating my friend Ana being 40 years young!! After a big dinner with oysters, caviar and way more food and wine/sake than usual... I still decided to push the effort and see what happened.
Started just after the park opened in deeeeeep fog. Took my arm warmers in case it was cold at the summit but the fog was gone one mile in and it got plenty warm quickly. Some calves running around, lots of cow gates. Felt pretty good on the first climb and opened up the legs in a controlled way on the down. The climb to the top gets steeeeep and it was warm! I knew I had to get a strong down to get a chance to beat the previous time. Still some sneaky climbs but kept a strong effort. And back in the fog for the last mile which felt so good!
