I was looking for a good stimulus for my preparations for the Eiger E101. Finding routes with elevation is not easy in the Netherlands, but this one seemed like a good option! I brought my Eiger equipment and gave it a shot. 1.5 liters of water on the back, 0.5L of isotonic drinks in the front, and 8 portions of my homemade energy gels in my softflask ended up being the perfect amount. It was quite muddy at parts of the route, but the views were incredible! Definitely felt like a micro holiday in my own country.
