No one was on the board yet for female runners, so I figured this could start it out. Started at the Stockbridge Chelsea Rd Trailhead's information sign carrying a liter of water and about 400 calories of nutrition. The weather was nice and cool, but another 500mL of water and 200 calories of food would have been smart.
Even starting a little after 1 PM on a Thursday, there were plenty of mountain bikes out. It'd been rainy earlier in the week and they were probably all excited to get out and enjoy the dried-out trail. I stepped off for each of the 72 mountain bikes (that's about 1 every 3.5 minutes), and they were all pretty nice. I would never plan to run here on a weekend, though.
The trail was a lot easier to follow than I thought it'd be, considering it's a connection of four trails. Everything is well-marked and I never had to worry about taking a wrong turn. Switching from Green Lake->Big Kame->Winn->Sugar->Winn-Big Kame->Green Lake kept things interesting and made the time pass quickly.
There's an outhouse and supposedly a water pump at Stockbridge Chelsea Rd, and an outhouse at Cassidy Rd, but I didn't stop at any of them so I can't say for sure.
