Not sure what the weird route line is; there are no other trails down there and I went in and out in the same route ?. Beautiful trail down through a canyon to the American River, gobs of wildflowers - larkspur, lupine, blue dock, wild lilac….
I completely fell apart about 2 miles from the end (went out too fast probably, very hot and sunny…). Was hoping for under 1:30 but that last 2 miles broke my soul a little.
