My plan was to complete a double up and back of Mt. Rogers starting from Massie’s Gap. In so doing, the first up-and-back was faster than the Strava segment course record by 25 seconds.
It was cold, sprinkling rain, and very windy with very few hikers out and no ponies out and about.
