FKT: Ben Brown - Mailbox Peak (WA) - 2022-07-16

I found a rhythm that work for me today! I find hard efforts on up and down courses to be a real challenge. Before committing to the peak I decided to switch to my Hoka Clifton 8 road shoes which feel more efficient and work nicely with this trail. On the decent I ended up "burning" large blisters on the heel of each foot, though. Ouch! The precent grade is just steep enough to produce friction on a hard decent—with less than perfect footwear.
