FKT: Ben Brown - Navaho Peak (WA) - 2024-08-24

This was a celebration run for me, marking my return to sport after a summer of recovering from a bad ankle injury in early spring 2024. I am so thankful to be moving through mountain trails again!

It was my first time up Navaho Peak and the rainy and cloudy day made the experience a little more disorienting with low visibility, but still extremely beautiful. The cool weather was quite nice for summer day, though. The last 3/4 mile ascent was pretty tough, as expected! There was not much fanfare from views up top, which made it quite easy to pop back down the mountain.

I started and finished at the trailhead where I met a few hikers at the end who kindly snapped a few pictures of me.
