I started from the Shell Gas Station in Boring, Oregon at 10:15am Sunday morning. The Boring Marathon was just wrapping up so I was running the opposite direction as a few walkers as I began. Unintentional little treat to have smiling faces along the trail for a few miles. After about 6 miles, it got quieter on the trail and the road crossings became more frequent. I had to stop about once a mile for cars and once for a woods restroom break all without stopping the watch.

At around mile 10, a noticeable headwind started with some rain. Other than a few gusts, rain and 55F was pretty perfect weather for the attempt. I wore my hip belt with .5 Liters of water and 60 grams of carbs to fuel me through the finish and it was just enough as the last two miles felt like I was just hanging in there.

I went a little long at the end just to be safe but the end of the Springwater Corridor was clearly marked with a large sign over the trail. I reached this point just before 12:30 and ended the activity. I had only runs parts so it was fun to do all this in one go. I recommend even early on a Sunday morning as parts of the trail can get busy and those road crossings can get a little busy.
