Start time was 6:00 a.m. while it was still a comfortable 64 degrees. It was humid but not hot. I ran without a vest and used only 2x 12 oz handheld bottles. One was plain water and the other was mixed with Tailwind. It was sunny and the trail was dry and in good condition. I previously ate approximately 500 calories for breakfast at 5:00 a.m. and took 2x Stinger Waffles for additional nutrition. I started my watch, tapped the railing, and ran the route to the Fenton Trailhead sign, tapping it and running a loop in the parking area to ensure my GPS updated out and away from the canopy of the trees. I returned the same route to the start point, tapped the railing, and stopped my watch. The run was alone with no support.
