5/25/25: Memorial Day
After a week of rain and no sun, Jason and I were ready to get out on trail. Temperature was absolutely perfect, right around 55-60.
The trails were less than ideal. Very slow going, chutes of mud and leaves.
But, in the end it was just amazing to be out there.
We started on the Cascade side, got up Pitchoff around 35 minutes and down to the traverse in 1:27 minutes. Downhill felt slower because of the mud.
For a holiday weekend, we only saw people on balanced rocks.
Amazing!
